What is ECEE: School of Electrical, Comptuer, and Energy Engineering?

SBHSE Website: https://ecee.engineering.asu.edu/

The School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering at ASU is committed to having a large impact on the electrical industry. We have centers conducting groundbreaking research to further industry growth. The school’s continued strength in research performance, new areas of research, growth in student enrollment to record levels at all levels and the development of innovative new academic programs have attracted national and international attention. Our primary focus is the education of students, who are important contributors to our research. The majority of our research funding supports students in our program. In addition to graduate students working on sponsored project research, we engage many undergraduates and some high school students in our research labs. In addition to externally sponsored projects, we have a variety fellowships, scholarships and research stipends for all levels of students provided by gifts from generous alumni, corporations and friends.

The Engineering Research Center (ERC) is a prominent landmark on Tyler Mall, just west of the Noble Science Library. The ERC is home to research and instructional labs, as well as faculty offices for the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

This building also houses the Center for Solid State Electronics Research (CSSER) and ASU NanoFab, a flexible foundry that offers state-of-the-art device processing and characterization tools to individuals and companies.

The Barry M. Goldwater Center for Science and Engineering, located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Tyler and McAllister Malls, was built in 1992. The building is shared by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

The Goldwater Center contains faculty offices and classrooms, as well as research and instructional labs for bioengineering, chemical and materials engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering and physics.

The Goldwater Center is also home to several important research centers. It houses the Eyring Materials Center (EMC), facilities for ion beam analysis and Connection One, a National Science Foundation industry/university research cooperative in communication circuits and systems.
