Track Attendance Using FSE’s Event App

The Event Tracking application provides FSE staff with efficient event management through Sun Card check-ins and badge printing capabilities. An unexpected benefit has emerged: instructors are using it to track attendance in large courses, particularly during exams when accurate records matter most. Interested in using this free application for events or classroom attendance? Submit a ServiceNow request by selecting Application > Web Application > Event Tracking.

Explore Teaching Technology Through Individual Sessions

Take advantage of personalized faculty walkthroughs covering both physical classroom technology and Apporto virtual lab environments. These hands-on demonstrations help you explore available multimedia equipment and understand how cloud-based labs can extend your teaching capabilities. Schedule your individual session to explore these powerful educational tools at your own pace.

Smart Email Lists That Update Automatically

The ETS Distribution Lists app eliminates the hassle of manually maintaining email groups by creating dynamic lists based on criteria like department, job title, or employee classification. These lists refresh nightly to ensure your communications reach the right people without outdated contacts or missing new team members. FSE users can create unlimited distribution lists at no cost, making it an efficient solution for departmental communications, project updates, and event announcements. Learn more.

New Community Explores Microsoft Power Platform Tools

FSE has launched a Power Platform Community of Practice where members discover how to automate routine tasks using Power Automate and related Microsoft tools. The community demonstrates practical applications, from simple email workflows to complex data integrations, helping participants connect everyday applications in innovative and efficient ways. Regular discussions and demonstrations provide hands-on learning opportunities for anyone interested in streamlining their work processes. Join the Power Platform community in Teams and start exploring automation possibilities. This new community joins our other thriving communities including AI for Technologists, Airtable for FSE, and Cybersecurity–visit the technology communities of practice web page for more info.

Complete Your 2025 Security Training by September 12

All ASU personnel must complete the 2025 Information Security Training by September 12 to maintain system access. The training covers essential cybersecurity topics including phishing recognition and secure data handling practices. A two-week grace period extends until September 29, after which passwords will be flagged to expire daily for non-compliant users. New employees receive 120 days from their start date to fulfill this requirement. Complete your training through Workday Learning.

Autodesk Suite Users: Update Required for Continued Support

If you use Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or other titles, please ensure you’re running version 2026 to maintain access to updates and technical support. Older versions may experience service interruptions as Autodesk phases out support for legacy releases. You can install version 2026 through Software Center on your computer. To avoid disruptions with this essential design software, update as soon as possible. For assistance with updates or installation issues, contact your IT team through ServiceNow.
