Cloud Solutions
Please Note: ETS no longer provides in-house storage or virtual machine services. Instead, we have links to alternative cloud solutions offered by ASU partners. These services are external to both ETS and the Fulton Schools of Engineering.
AWS Instance via ServiceNow Cloud Portal
Through ASU’s ServiceNow Cloud Portal, you can lease an AWS instance. To get started, you’ll need to request a cloud management resource group. You’ll need to provide a Billing cost center and program code, and a financial approver will need to approve your request. Once approved, you can create and manage cloud systems based on your available funding
Request a Cloud Resource Group
Amazon Account in ASU Org
You can request an Amazon AWS account within the ASU organization. This option allows you to choose any available OS, but you are responsible for patching, backups, and other maintenance tasks via the AWS console. It provides flexibility but requires hands-on management.
Research Computing VM Offerings
ASU’s Research Computing offers virtual machines for research purposes, with various configurations and pricing structures. These services are designed for the broader ASU research community and are independent of ETS and FSE. This option is suitable for research teams needing specialized computing resources.
