Policy, Standards, and Guidelines
ASU and FSE Policy, Standards, and Guidelines
ASU has established Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for information technology services. These policies fall within the overarching ACD125: Information Security Policy, which defines the boundaries of acceptable use of ASU computing and communication resources. The full policy can be found in the Academic Affairs Policies and Procedures Manual (ACD 125).
ASU IT Policies and Standards are available here, and supporting Guidelines and Procedures are available here.
The Fulton Schools of Engineering has established Standards and Guidelines specific to the needs of FSE faculty, staff, and students.
Incident Management and Response
For any security events or incidents, ASU has established comprehensive protocols to ensure a swift and effective response. FSE adheres to those protocols. Faculty, staff, and student workers should familiarize themselves with the university’s Incident Response Standard, which outlines the steps to take when managing an incident. Learn more about ASU’s Incident Response Standard.
For immediate actions and reporting procedures, please refer to the Incident Response guidelines on Get Protected.
Vulnerability Management and Response
FSE is committed to maintaining the security of its digital assets through proactive vulnerability management. The Vulnerability Management Security Standard outlines the procedures for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities within ASU’s web applications and network assets.
Additionally, ASU’s Vulnerability Management Program provides comprehensive guidance on scanning, testing, and remediation processes to protect university resources. This program includes regular vulnerability assessments and offers expert consultation to ensure that all security risks are managed effectively.
