Displaying the instructor’s workstation on the LCD TV

If you see a black “blank” screen on the AMX Panel, it is completely off. The panel will need to be turned on by pressing and holding down the “black” power button on the top-side of the AMX Panel until the display lights up (as shown below):

Once the AMX Panel lights up, it will go through the boot-up process

You should then see the following displayed on the AMX Panel

On the AMX Panel, press the “System On” button

  • Press “Simple” to bring up the features in a simple single button mode
  • Press “Advanced” to bring up the features in a more advanced multiple button mode

For example purposes (pressing “Simple”), you will get the following displayed below:

You will also notice the LCD TV’s behind you with the following displays (as seen below):

Left Side (SmartBoard PC)               vs                    Right Side (Instructor’s workstation)

Shutting down the AMX Panel

Make sure you turn off the AMX Panel after use by pressing “Off” (as shown below):

You will then be prompted to “Turn system off?”

After pressing the “Turn off” button, the AMX System will shut down and stop displaying the instructor’s workstation on the LCD TVs leaving the AMX Panel with the begining display below:
